London

Shopping

What better way to unwind than hitting the shops for some good old fashioned retail therapy? Whether you’re shopping for clothes, cars, fine wine, or jewellery, London is home to a vast array of shops selling just about anything you can imagine!

Did You Know: Harrods, arguably the most famous shop in the World, once hired a live Egyptian cobra to guard a pair of sandals. As I’m sure you can imagine, these weren’t just any old sandals. These were £62,000 diamond and sapphire encrusted sandals. Not a bad way to walk around the house, hey?

Top Tip: London is home to some fantastic indoor and outdoor markets. Often these markets will specialise in specific products, for example fresh fish at Billingsgate or flowers at Columbia Road. The markets are a great way to spend a day out and hopefully bag a bargain in the process. Our favourite is Camden Lock Market where you can find over a hundred stalls located by designer workshops, cafes, restaurants and even a canal. Be warned, it gets very busy during the summer, so get there early to secure a prime spot in the sun!
