Gatwards in Hitchen, which first opened its doors in 1760, is the oldest family-run jewellers in England. It is housed in one of the town’s oldest buildings in the Market Place. The clock standing nearby was a gift to Hitchin from the company for the Millennium.
The Galleria Outlet Centre is the place to go to hunt for a bargain. Based in Hatfield, between junctions three and four and only six miles north of the M25. It has 1,800 parking spaces and it open seven days a week, until 8pm on weekdays and 6pm on Saturdays
